There was a time when football players could play football; when there was a real game; real hits, no fines.  Now there is a penalty for just looking at the quarterback wrong.  There's a penalty for the linebacker tackling with his head.  Penalty after penalty.  The game has changed.

 

I remember when I used to play football with my brothers and the neighborhood school fellows.  We played kill the man with the ball.  Now you can't hit the man with the ball, namely the quarterback.  Oh, is he too fragile to get hit.  No!  He's the man with the ball and I want it.  The quarterback can run, but before he gets jammed, he's allowed to slide like he's playing baseball, sliding into home. 

 

Now, football is played very delicately,which is supposed to be safer for the players.  Well, in my opinion, you might as well let them start wearing tattoos.

 

Football is a physical sport.  Let the players play and bring back the real game of football.  Since the rules are changed every year, here's a new rule for all the wide receivers and tight ends:  drop or not catch the ball, get fined by the team.  Holding, get fined, unless it stops a touchdown.
